Rivers Bend

Welcome to Rivers Bend

Tucked deep in the heart of Louisiana, Rivers Bend is the kind of town where folks still wave from front porches, supper is rarely served without sweet tea, and stories linger longer than the summer heat. Take your time along our quiet back roads, admire the moss-draped oaks, and don’t be surprised if a neighbor invites you to sit for a spell. We aren’t in much of a hurry around here, and there’s no reason you should be, either.

Rivers Bend has plenty of history to explore, including the old plantation homes of the Cane River area, where a Strangers Room once offered lodging to weary travelers passing through the region. Of course, history has a way of collecting stories of its own. Some are well documented. Others have been passed from one generation to the next. And a few are probably best discussed on a front porch after dark.

So come hungry, bring your curiosity, and stay awhile. There’s good food to taste, folklore to discover, history to explore, and more than a few stories waiting to be told. There’s always a place for you in Rivers Bend.

Just remember—not every warning around here is written down.
