There’s always another story waiting to be discovered…
Some of my books begin with a dead body. Others begin with a garden, a kitchen, a question about living more simply—or, occasionally, a possum.
They may take different roads, but they’re all rooted in the things I love writing about: people, places, home, faith, humor, and the stories we collect along the way.

Fiction
Take a stroll through small Southern towns where everybody knows everybody—or thinks they do. You’ll find old secrets, unexpected friendships, mysteries that refuse to stay buried, and occasionally a ghost or two who have opinions of their own. Each series has its own place and people, but all of them begin with the same question: What happens next?

The Strangers Series
Rivers Bend looks like the sort of quiet Southern town where nothing much happens. But when three strangers arrive, old secrets begin stirring—and some of them were buried for a reason. Follow their story through a completed three-book Southern suspense trilogy. (Explore Rivers Bend →)

The O’Shea Emporium Mysteries
Whistle Creek is the kind of small Louisiana town where everybody knows your business—and a few residents know more than they should. Between running the O’Shea Emporium, keeping up with the neighbors, and dealing with the occasional opinionated ghost, Molly O’Shea Danner has enough to do without stumbling across murder. Unfortunately, murder doesn’t seem particularly concerned about her schedule. (Visit Whistle Creek →)

Simple Life
A simple life doesn’t come with a set of rules—or require giving up everything modern and moving to a farm. These books grew from my own search for a life that fits, with plenty of lessons learned along the way. From home, food, and old-fashioned skills to faith, finances, and the things that matter most, perhaps you’ll find something here that belongs on your road to simple. (Find Your Own Way →)
